A Child Care Promotion? Don’t Let It Scare You
You found a child care center you love…and then you see they’re offering an enrollment promotion.
Wait. Is that a red flag?
Not necessarily. In fact, there can be a very simple explanation.
Enrollment in child care is constantly changing. Families relocate, work schedules change, children transition to kindergarten, and sometimes a few unexpected openings happen at once. A quality center may offer a limited-time promotion simply to introduce new families to the program and fill those newly available spots.
Think of it as an opportunity—not an indication of quality.
The Peek-A-Boo perspective? Take the promotion, but still do your homework. Tour the center, meet the leadership, ask about teacher turnover, look at the classrooms and pay attention to how the children and teachers interact. Those things will tell you far more about the quality of a program than whether there happens to be an enrollment special that month.
And if you find a center you love and happen to catch a great promotion?
We call that a parenting win. 😉
Parenting. Play. Repeat.
Thanks for peeking. There’s always more to discover.
